The Federal Managers Association (FMA) is your voice in Washington, DC for Federal managers and supervisors. We take the issues that are important to you and work to ensure that Congress and the Administration know where FMA stands, while striving to enact policy change that supports our mission of Excellence in Public Service through Effective Management.

We do this in a number of ways. By updating you with our recent successes in Washington through our legislative accomplishments, The Washington Report, FMA’s Issues Agenda, and urgent action items, we are keeping you – FMA members – informed on critical legislative activity and Administration initiatives. We are able to open doors through a strong grassroots membership network and an active political action committee.

We also partner with the media in seeing to it that the Federal community knows our position on key issues. Our message is disseminated in a number of ways, including but not limited to: FMA press releases ; The Federal Manager magazine; editorials; and articles published in various news outlets by our Association.
